The practice employs some general practitioners as assistants. Although these doctors are fully trained general practitioners, they are not partners and do not therefore have to share in the running of the practice.
Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
The Phlebotomists is available for patients to make appointments for blood tests at Park Surgery weekdays AM and Tuesday PM at St Francis.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions, dealing with prescription enquiries, financial claims and patient records.
We have three secretaries who deal with a vast amount of day-to-day secretarial and administrative work for the practice - a large proportion of their work involves the typing of patient referral letters to the hospitals.
